One of the interesting sessions I was looking forward to attend at Search Engine Strategies New York 2010 this year was “How to become a Link Magnet.” Besides the “session Bait” title it also had an impressive list of panelists consisting of Jennifer Slegg of Jensense, Rand Fishkin of SEOMoz, and Aaron Kahlow of Online Marketing Summit with Greg Jarboe of SEO-PR as the moderator. I believe most of the attendees in this session went in with the expectation (myself included) of learning how to create “link baiting” strategies to get more links. Surprisingly, the experts on the panel preached exactly the opposite: stop link baiting tactics and instead become link worthy. Yes, link worthy.
